Signs of Spring

Last week it was beautiful.  The sun was shining and there were so many new flowers coming into bud that I thought it is here at last!!  Spring has finally sprung!

The first daffodil opened its bud.

Clumps of crocus had pushed through the earth.  Both silky purple and..

golden yellow.

Snow drops were nodding.

The Quince was bursting.

The Polyanthus were popping up here..

and everywhere!

And my Rhubarb  – well it is already 5cm taller than this!  Rhubarb Flapjack and custard!  Yum! Yum!

So that was last week.  This week – IT IS RAINING!!!!!

I noticed from Lucy’s blog that you’re from Northumberland.  Am I correct? We moved from Northumberland to Sweden, so it’s nice to make a connection when I can. It’s lovely to see your spring flowers.  I always enjoy them but unfortunately they have to fight through all the snow we have here.  So I don’t expect to be seeing any in a while.
